Message There's no phonetic correlation between Kung and Huang. The name Huang is a Mandarin pinyin transcription that would be spelled 'Wong' to indicate its Cantonese pronunciation. Kung is a Taiwan Wade-Giles system transcription that is written 'Gong' in pinyin and 'Gung' for its Cantonese form. I'm happy to hear that everyone is now perfectly clear on this question. :) Bill H. Post a Response |
