Re: Autencicating Chinese Kangxi Vase |

Message Your friend should have been alerted to the discrepancy in the documentation. The 'certificate' says the vase is Ming and 150 years 'ago' , while the mark clearly mentions the Qing KangXi emperor. The Ming dynasty ended in 1644. The KangXi Emperor's reign was from 1662 to 1722. It couldn't be marked with a date that was in the future! How would they have known who would be emperor at that time? Post a Response |
