| Identify unusual enamel piece |

Message This unusual piece is just 2.25" tall x 1.25" wide. It believe it is enamel with raised silver. The legs are intricate dragons. I haven't found anything else quite like this ... it's too round to be considered an egg and very small for a trinket box. Does anyone know it's intended use is, country of origin and possible date? This was acquired at an estate sale. Thank you!
