Message Hello. Thank you very much for the important information. The text of poetry is: 亭亭山上鬆,瑟瑟谷中風。 風聲一何盛,鬆枝一何勁。 冰霜正慘悽,終歲常端正。 豈不罹凝寒,鬆柏有本性。 unfortunately I could not find a translation. It is not unusual in Japan that high-grade military or important state men were also literate and calligraphy. Like admiral Togo Heihachiro (maybe that attached is his calligraphy?) or Itō Hirobumi. Thanks again and Best Regards, Andrea |
