Long Chinese hand scroll - Translation please |
Posted By: I.Nagy Posted Date: Jan 01, 2018 (05:05 AM) |
Message Seemingly it is a long hand-scroll cut into two pieces. The inscription in my interpretation reads, 觀以江水 Looking over the waters of river 思如京 My thoughts are for Peking 盛長江 The roar of magnificient Yangtze River 圖咆覧 displays the righteousness of the 神洲之義之壮 Divine Land (China) Signature, 曉季 Xiaoji or 曉蓁 Xiaozhen (Courtesy or art of the artist) (The second character is written a bit sloppy - hard to decipher) Seal, 明 Ming - Probably surname of the artist. Would you so kind to let me know the name of artist if you find it on the attached documentation. With regards, I.Nagy Post a Response |
