Re: Meiji period bronze? |
Posted By: Guy Posted Date: Apr 21, 2018 (04:15 PM) |
Message Mark of the Kyoto workshop Yoshida, reading 大日本 吉田造 京都 (Dai Nippon - Yoshida zô - Kyôto). The workshop of Yoshida in Kyoto was already active during the early Meiji period, producing bronze jardinières (suiban), vases, gongs and ornaments for both domestic and export markets. His work was shown at the 1876 International Exhibition in Philadelphia. Guy. Post a Response |
