Message Has badly written Ming Wanli reign mark but not like anything made then. Only thing slightly like Ming is leaf shape imitate early Ming, but no design done this way then (leaf style in conflict with apocryphal reign-date). Your photo not look anything like 'celadon.' Do internet search or look Shanghai Museum or National Palace Museum web sites for images of 'celadon' more properly called green ware. Your modern bowl could be part of dinnerware set or set of bowls different sizes for serving or mixing. Good luck, Cal Post a Response |
