Identify Makers Mark |
Posted By: rat Posted Date: Oct 05, 2011 (09:35 AM) |
Message the mark seems to read in two rows right to left, which is unusual. read this way it says "boyun taopin" where Bo and yun are together most likely the name of the manufacturing company, and tao pin means "ceramic product(s)". the inspiration for your birds are likely those made during the Qing +/-Qianlong era, but yours are quite a bit more recent than that, first half 20th century perhaps? but I don't know much of anything about ceramics so take someone else's views more seriously Post a Response |
