Antique Ginger Jar Table Lamp

I recently acquired a beautifully hand-painted Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jar Table Lamp with exquisite paintings of black bird and flowers in front and Chinese writing on back. Bottom has hand-carved dark wood, possibly rosewood or ebony, and topped with lovely Asian-style finial. Perhaps Qing Dynasty? Meaning of the art work or writing? I read on-line that these were often decorated to reflect happiness or prosperity and given a ceremonial gifts such as wedding. Also, any ideas on possible value?
