Message
I bought this figurine from a flee market because it looked very old to me and it was incised with a mark on the bottom. I read that incised marks were usually an artist signature and that they replaced this with stamps or seals in the mid 1800's. I dont know if this is accurate but I do know that this statue looks very old. It is also very well done ie. sculpting, painting, etc. Does anyone know anything about this figurine or the artist. Possible name, date, style, period? Thanks for all the help.
