correct identification to end debates (PLEASE) |

Message not Japanese but Chinese, carved in the form of an archaic bronze vessel called a "gu" (kind of a beaker), but yours is longer and thinner than the bronze forms (and otherwise smaller). I'm sure some of the jade/hardstone lovers here will arrive shortly with a plausible guess as to the type of stone and approximate date of manufacture. Post a Response |
