Message These images are vastly superior to those in your September posting under a different name, and the mark is still shown on its left side. When righted, it indeed does read as a seal of Chen Mingyuan, the well-known 18th century Qing dynasty Kangxi-era potter at the Yixing kilns. However, it will take someone with expertise to determine if the pot is original to Chen's period or one of the endless stream of 'tributes' issued in his name during the ensuing years.
