If I may wax subjective, the cloud forms surrounding the dragon look to be painted a bit more in the Chinese than Japanese style, and the three female figures remind me of some seen several years ago on a not entirely successful Chinese attempt at reproducing a Japanese Imari barber's bowl. Also, I'm not sure how the dragon would complement decoration involving a feminine motif like this, but I wonder if it is another case of the fakester not being up on his iconography (as opposed to my own ignorance).
