Can someone assist in identifying a Japanese carving? |
Posted By: GiGi Posted Date: Feb 13, 2013 (08:00 PM) |
Message I recently purchased a Japanese carving of a gentleman digging bamboo shoots. It appears to be carved from keyaki (elm). He has a very pleasant face and is wearing his tabis. There is a signature or title carved at the back but I cannot read it. If anyone is able to help identify him, I would be most grateful.
