Jade figurines |

Message Dear All, I would like to ask people's opinion on the following jade (?) objects. The warrior figure has been in the family for at least 60 years. Is there a way of determining any information about it? Such as age, quality of the stone, and of the carving and what exactly this man is doing with a sword on his head. i.e Is it the stylised form of a theme that repeats in jade carvings? The two Fu Dogs, as I was told they are called, I bought recently just because I liked how they look. Any ideas on those and whether they were worth the little money I spent on them? Thank you in advance for your thoughts. I know it is difficult to identify jade from just a couple of pictures, but any info no matter how little can be a starting poing for further research. All best wishes, Thanos. |
