Information Sought about 1916 Japanese Imperial Presentation Clock

Message
I am seeking information regarding the continued existence and current whereabouts of an astronomical clock that was specially commissioned for presentation to then Japanese Crown Prince Hirohito in 1916.

The four sided monumental onyx cased astronomical clock topped with a rotating celestial globe was built by the firm of Joseph Mayer and Brothers in Seattle Washington. It was apparantly commissioned by an American based consortium of Japanese business men but there is no record as to the occasion to which the gift was given.

We are currently assisting with a research of specialty timepieces manufactured by Mayer & Co. Any current information regarding this clock and/or pictures for further study and documentation would be greatly appreciated.

My photo file was too large for this format. Please write me directly for a picture.

Kind Regards,

Ernest A. Lopez
