identify artist of narrow bird painting

These prepared gold edged cards are typically used by Japanese artists. They have a particular name, which I can't remember at the moment. They are similar to the square boards, which are probably more common.

The signature is a little difficult to read quickly. I might try again later. But the seal indicates that the artist, a woman, has a family name Kitani, and what looks like a given name of Ekiko. (I am sure about the 'ko')
