Hi Luciano and Arjan,

The mark is a bit rushed but still consistent with signatures of Hichozan Shinpo illustrated in the book of marks by James Lord Bowes, who called the wares bearing them "modern" when he wrote the book in 1882. The Hichozan studio seems to be associated mostly with polychrome export porcelains, often decorated for the Fukagawa companies. However, I did find one pair of 48-inch floor vases by this studio in my internet search.

Best regards,

Bill H.
