Chinese Deco-era Cloisonne Beads - Do Any Exist? |
Posted By: beadiste Posted Date: Mar 31, 2014 (11:56 AM) |
Message Does anyone have any examples of Chinese cloisonne beads that they can definitely date to the 40 years between 1910 and 1949? I've found a few examples of cloisonne-style beads decorated with twisted wire and enamel, similar to Russian enamel works, and of course Canton enamel silver beads. But no actual cloisonne beads - i.e., cloisons formed of metal ribbons - appear until the late 1930s. Post a Response |
