Wooden gilted gong stand? Possibly edo period? |
Posted By: Clayton Lambert Posted Date: Apr 22, 2015 (10:08 AM) |
Message Hey everyone, Looking to get more info on this piece. I bought it due to the quality of the hand done mortise and tenon joints as well as the detail on the embossed gold Phoenix and maple tree motifs on panels. The crest on there seems to be if Tokugawa shogunate... Hence my belief it may late edo period. I had trouble with the uploader, so here is a link to my Picasa where you can see several photos. Any info would be appreciated! https://picasaweb.google.com/m/viewer#album/103196526639913269086/6140562562164597569 Link :Images of stand Post a Response |
