Chinese Export Crackle Glaze Pot?

This pot(brush pot?) was bought in Hong Kong in the 1950's from a reputable dealer (T.Y. King) so I assume it is something of reasonable quality and value. It measures 3 1/4" across the rim and 3" from top to bottom.

My limited knowledge leads me to think that it is not so ancient, but a more modern piece employing two different glazing styles perhaps from different dynastic periods. Perhaps it is a piece of art demonstrating those styles rather than something functional such as a brush pot. Hence I have called it Chinese Export but maybe I am wrong.

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me more about it or if they have come across anything using this dual type of glazing on the interior and exterior as I have not come across anything like it on the web.
