Liangzhu Carving on Human Tibia - thoughts? |
Posted By: Scott Alexander Posted Date: Nov 17, 2015 (04:04 PM) |
Message I wanted to solicit comments on this item, which appears to be a human tibia with carvings charateristic of the Liangzhu culture. It does have a very smooth patina (not oiled), and the carvings appear to have been done before the bone has been aged. There is also quite a bit of the bone removed (excised) around the carvings - which must have been quite a bit of work. Thanks in advance for any comments.... |
