Message The form of the vases and their decoration look to be Japanese, perhaps depicting Dutch or other European figures. The characters on the one piece read as the number 219 (二百十九). Something about the painting style (a bit naïve) and enamels (some on the muddy side) suggest to me your vases are from around the Taisho period (1912-1926). Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
