Japanese Ochawan. Hagi Ware? |
Posted By: Ryan Posted Date: Mar 24, 2016 (03:22 PM) |
Message Hello, I recently got what I think is an antique Ochawan. From what I can tell from some research is that it might be Hagi Ware or Hagiyake. However, the person that I bought it from says it's from Mino. It came in an old, wooden box that is laced with a blue ribbon. Inside the box, the ochawan is wrapped in old, yellow silk. It is signed on the bottom. Can anyone identify this? Just wondering how it might be. Also, can anyone translate the artist's name into English....can't read Japanese. Thanks so much, in advance!!!! |
