Message Judging by the drab gilt on the elephant masks and rough looking foot, this pepped-up version of the Indian lotus scroll pattern appears to date from about 1945-1960, or late Republic-early People's Republic. Would almost pass as a faux cloisonné design. The decoration and apocryphal Qianlong mark both appear to be handpainted. Best regards, Bill H. Post a Response |
