Hi experts,
looking for information on a sculpture I purchased 20 years back.
Like to know background of this item.
is it Balinese ? which period ?
Does the character riding the naga represent a diety or priest ?
There is a small "hidden" area if you slide away the priest to the back. Could this have been used for ceremonial processes ? if so what ceremony, what would be contained in it?

The sculpture is pretty large height (including tail) is 50 centimer, length also around 50 cm and width (wingspan) around 25 cm.

Appreciate any information you could provide me on this object.
In case any believe this would be valuable enough to warrant some type of insurance, please let me know as well.

Best regards
Erik
