The smiling Buddha is seated on a lotus throne in bhumisparsa mudra, the gesture of calling the earth to witness. An unusual, strong modelling of the features of the face, with extensive traces of blue pigment to the hair with its lotus bud finial. The eyes and mouth with traces of pigment. The image is resealed. |
