The painting in depicts a variation of Shing Jachen, one of the Five Kings riding on a black horse, holding aloft a dorje and bhumpa riding on his black horse through roiling dark flames. Interestingly the horse tramples on an almost invisible ‘ghosted’ prostrate figure on a lotus base delicately outlined in gilt. |
