A fine Miniature Thangka depicting Heyagriva, the ‘Horse-necked One’

Within a flaming nimbus, the three-headed, six-armed deity, his identifying attribute – the 3 small horse heads protruding from his streaming hair behind his skull diadem. He wears a flayed elephant hide around his shoulders, a tiger-skin dhoti, bone jewellery and a garland of severed heads, as he tramples upon writhing serpents on a lotus base, his long-clawed fingers holding a variety of implements, including a khatvanga. Blessed to the reverse.
