Seeing, Rather Than Looking At, Nepalese Art

This strut, dated 1653, typifies Nepalese multi-headed, multi-armed, and polychrome painted roof struts
from about the fifteenth century on. Representing a form of Vajradhara, it is one of a set of six at the center
of the eleven figural struts on the south wing.
