Dhaka (earth spirit)

Daka is regarded as an earth spirit who devours all evil influences. He is invoked in
medical rituals, and when a person is ill a Daka is held up to his mouth so he can imbibe medicines from the deitys mouth, to increase the effect of the medicine. In Tibetan belief Daka is a dwarf who moves on his stomach like a reptile.
