A massive Chinese bronze incense-burner and cover modelled as a finger citrus, branches forming the handle and legs from which flowering leafy tendrils climb the body. The cover is modelled as a further finger citrus. The patina is fine and dark and the sides and base show remains of original gilding. Xuande seal mark, 18th century.
