Tholing (Sutlej River)

Tholing are the ruined former capitals of the ancient Guge Kingdom of Western Tibet. The whole area is remarkable for its amazingly eroded scenery, cut through by the Sutlej River on its way to the subcontinent. Evening clouds swell in the golden rays of light. Where else does one see fire raining from the sky? This view and the sky above, is one of the many spectacles exclusive to this region.
