Good evening,
Blue glazed vase 23" tall. Anyone familiar with this 6 character mark? Thank you for your help

The mark on your jar reads "(Yu ci chun yi tang zhi - 御賜純一堂製)", which would read "Made for the Emperor to give to the Hall of Total Purity". This wording is a variation on a Kangxi-related mark of "(Yu ci chun yi tang zhen - 御賜純一堂珍)", which reads "A treasure given by the Emperor to the Hall of Total Purity".

The "Hall of Total Purity" was a title bestowed by the Kangxi emperor on Lang Tingji, a high ranking official who served him from 1663-1715, or all but eight years of the long Kangxi rule.

Based on the preceding, the jar's inferior decoration compared to period standards and anomalous crackling in the glaze, it appears to be a recent product.

Best regards,

Bill H.
