Message Hello All Someone gave this to my wife. I think it is brass but it may also be bronze. Good patination and a humourous subject with the snail heading towards to grapes.30cm high. The decoration suggests Japanes, but the vase shape is a chinese Hu form I think. Could it be made in china for the Japanese market? A bit lost on this one. Might it be arround the C1900? It looks like it has never been cleaned. Has a good ring when tapped and is very heavy at nearly 2 kilos. Unmarked on the base and hasn't been moved for years as the base is a golden and clean. Sorry about the photos. Best wishes all. D
