Greetings, I got this mixed media artwork in Maryland, it has an Asian characters read seal. Please help identify if possible thank you in advance

I confess that this is a very good challenge. Maybe if you try a better picture.... I thought I could help in giving a little photoshop "shower" to the picture. It turns that it get better, but not enough.
But maybe its a little bit clear to some native or someone with good reading skills what to me sounds like:

花逝美短 (huā shì měi duǎn) or Kasei Bitan in japanese (It cleary contains the 失 radical - maybe it could be "短"duǎn - short, brief: ). It could be a a poetic pseudonym or likely invoking aesthetics, cultivation, or personal virtue.But I really do not know what is written, sorry.
