Dear Bradshaw,
I am in doubt but what I can see (or imagine) is written 鶴廣刻 - Kakukō koku, which means Carved by Kakukō Such inscriptions are typical for studio pottery, indicating the work was engraved or made by the potter Kakukō. Maybe some of the kanji interpretation could be misread. Please, confirm with a native, because I am just a japanese language student. But I must to say this is a recent work. (20th century)
