Good morning all.
I have had this piece for years. It was originally owned by an entertainer who toured with a USO group in the Pacific from 1944-1946. Would anyone be able to identify this piece and let me know what exactly it is and what it says? It measures approximately 32.5 x 12.5. Thank you in advance for any information.

obs.:The inscription reads 湖龍斎 (Koryusai) from the japanese painter and Ukiyo-e (woodblockprint) artist Isoda Koryusai (礒田湖龍斎, 1735–1790).
