Subject:unknown meiji era artist
Posted By: Jonas Tue, Jun 24, 2025 IP: 84.232.135.219

Hello,

I assume this is a Japanese print from the Meiji era. Perhaps a reproduction after a painting? Can someone read the signature?

Many thanks!

J.

應需 - On demand
宮百房 - Gung Baek-bang or Gong Baifang
Upper seal,

Lower seal,
Illegibly blurred

The surname 宮 and given name 百房 is not generally used in Japanese.
It could be either Korean or Chinese.
Reading in Korean: Gung Baek-bang
Reading in Chinese: Gong Baifang

With regards,
I.Nagy

The signature reads "ōju Sadanobu" 應需 貞信, and belongs to Hasegawa Sadanobu II.
