Help is needed in confirming the signature by 床次竹二郎 on his commentary 日英同盟 (Anglo-Japanese Alliance). I assume the first two characters are
床次 but I cannot read the final character. Detail of signature is attached. With thanks.

This is his signature,
床次竹次郎　
At the end, making a witty ligature with 二 and hiragana ろ - so also forming a "kao"-like character.
