no. 50 Nakaura Sarukichiro Hisayoshi 中浦猿吉郎久吉 / Taiheiki eiyuden 太平記英勇傳 (Heroes of the Great Peace)

Description:

Woodblock print, oban tate-e. Nakaura Sarukichiro (the historical Toyotomi Hideyoshi) in armour and a court hat holds a melon, the gift of the famer kneeling before him.

The figure depicted kneeling before Hideyoshi is simply an unnamed admirer of Hideyoshi's greatness
