hi everyone. i recently found this piece. i was immediately impressed with how tiny and tight the embroidery work is here. i want to make certain that this is, in fact, "Peking Stitch" or "Forbidden Stitch," and not something else. the knots are literally less than half the size of any other Peking stitch embroidery work i've had. the center panel on which the embroidery art was done is small. it measures 8.5" x 4". also, if anyone has any ideas as to what kind of bird this is, that would be helpful. actually any information would be great. i'm thinking this work dates from the early twentieth century, but i have no idea...thanks
