Sharing an upcoming auction I saw that may be of interest to collectors and enthusiasts of Himalayan, Tibetan, and Buddhist art.
Auctions at Showplace will present Arts of the Himalayas on June 9th in New York. The sale includes a focused selection of Himalayan and Tibetan works from the Estate of Joseph Lawrence Gardella, including gilt bronze sculptures, thangkas, rugs, and related objects.
Highlights include Chinese Tibetan gilt bronzes of Amitabha, Amitayus, Vajrapani, Tsongkhapa, and White Tara, along with thangkas and textiles.
