静垣濤安
(Kuzu)sune iwa taruho
Otome ko ka tedama mo yura ni kuridasu tai no me
yori mo ito wa hikikeri
Kudzu vine roots and spikes falling from a rock,
as the young girl casts her line farther,
she is more alluring than the eyes of sea bream
Shizugaki Toan

芝うらに洗ふ赤めは名古の海のゆふ日のいろもあさむ
きぬへし
年垣真春
Shibaura ni arau akame wa nago no umi no yūhi no iro mo azamukinu beshi
The vivid red color of the “Aka-me"*, washed by the waters of “Shibaura” is so stunning that it even outshines the beauty of the sunset over the famed “Nago no Umi" ***
Toshigaki Maharu
* Another name for sea bream
** The Sea of Edo
*** The Sea of Nagoya
