Translation of the text
Princess Tamaori was the daughter of Azechi Dainagon Sukekata and the wife of Taira no Atsumori. Her husband was killed in the Battle of Suma. She then cut off her hair, donned Zen robes, and lived in seclusion in the Miei-dō Hall of the Shin-Zenkōji Temple in Kyōto, where she crafted folding fans known as Akome-ōgi.That is why these folding fans are still called Miei-dō Hall Fans today.
