Subject:chinese vases

We would like to know the age,orgin,if it is original ,and interpretation of marking.
Any information would be nice.

Paula,

I have seen vases of this type before, with an impressed charter mark on the base and scrafitto decoration colored with iron-brown, yellow, and copper-green glazes. I'm not sure if they were made in China, Japan, or elsewhere in Asia, but they are certainly no older than the latter half of the 20th century. I suspect that the impressed mark is an artist's mark or a shop mark.
