Subject:Chinese or Japanese eggshel porcelain, no marker
Posted By: Jos poulissen Sat, Dec 29, 2018 IP: 84.28.154.28

Does anyone know what porcelain this is? It has no markers and is hand painted.

Many thanks

Hallo Jos,

What you have is Japanese Kutani dragonware with a lithophane of a geisha head in the bottom of the cups. Made for Europe and the US in great quantities and often poor qualities in 1930-1960.

See more about this in the following links:

Regards,
Martin (Netherlands - www.japantiek.nl)
