Can anyone ID the mark on this satsuma vase? Thank you! David.

If this was a Japanese vase, the mark would be 九 - Kyu (Ku) = 9.
But I don't think this Japanese and it is a Chinese attempt to look like Satsuma and not very old.
The dragon has 5 claws, which was normally used for imperal dragons. Japanese dragons have 3 claws. So in this case the mark is 九 = Jiu = 9.
