I'm sorry but either people are collectors and are stingy with information in order to keep their event purchases, or they will be sellers and try to sell you more for their own acquisitions and not give you their sources.
already depends in which country you are located.

You got that right, I,Ernest, started with being allowed to observe in Jade studios of well known carvers, like Robert Dube, Lyle Sopel etc etc. who allowed me me to visit their Studios at will, knowing my interest in Jade. And as I expanded my knowledge in Chinese carved Jades, also Central American Jadeite-Diopsite. .etc. I taught Jade collecting in several schools in Vancouver BC.
