Posted By: Bill H Fri, Apr 26, 2019 I believe this vase, with a band of archaic decoration, probably is Japanese, dating to around the late Meiji-Taisho period, or about 1900-1925. Yours looks to have the kind of thin, lightly soldered base plate that was easily drilled or knocked out to make what was then those newfangled electric lamps.
